Thailand, 2015. Renting a motorbike here was a gamble. Old machines. Unclear prices. Rules that changed with the season. We wanted to build the opposite: bikes that are serviced, paperwork you can read, and a phone that someone answers.
- May 2015. Phuket Motorbike Rental opens. Our own fleet, plus three partners, gave us more than 400 scooters over the next few years. Every bike checked. No scams. We were the first rental on Phuket to deliver to the customer.
- April 2020. The borders close. It happens exactly when the business starts to work.
- February 2023. Phuket Garage opens. Adventure bikes — the reason we started all of this.
- Between. One-way rentals mean we move bikes across the country ourselves. That work becomes a business of its own.
- January 2026. Sendmoto opens — the first transport marketplace in Thailand. Now anyone here can have a motorcycle moved.
- March 2026. War starts in the Middle East. Tourism falls into a deep crisis, in the middle of the high season.
- Now. We are still here, still working. Eleven years, without a break.
The quiet years cost us too. Nobody gave us any of this. Every version was built in the hundreds of hours nobody sees: early, unpaid, and often right after bad news.
A brand is not built in the good season.
It is built by the discipline that survives the bad one.
So this is the next one. Same road, calmer head. What it becomes depends on years that have not happened yet.
